Any successful IUI with low sperm count?

Anyone ever have low sperm counts and went ahead with the IUI anyway and got success?

My cousin and his wife were able to conceive on their third IUI attempt and he had a very low sperm count (I’m sorry, I don’t know numbers...). He also told me about a supplement he was taking - he bought it off amazon, so I’ll admit I’m skeptical- but he said it doubled his count in the couple of months he was taking it. 
I don’t normally like posting “friend of a friend” stuff, but he and his wife have been very open and they’ve been super helpful and available for any questions I’ve had as I’ve recently seen a fertility specialist myself.

How low is low? We had normal count and all give of our iuis failed
