How young is too young for a phone?

And why do you think that age is to young? What age would you give your child a phone? What’s the most dangerous thing that scares you about children having phones?

I didn't even get my first phone till I was 13 it was a prepaid track phone I think 13 is the perfect age

I was 12 when I got my first phone and it was for emergency purposes only. When I have children I'm going to get them a super basic phone they can use for emergencies only. No Internet, no WhatsApp no Facebook. They can have a better phone when they're older.

I got my first phone in 6th grade, I was 11-12years old. It was mainly for safety purposes. I used to walk to and from school and this was a time where my parents were together back then and worked a lot. It made it easier for them to contact me and vice versa.

I didn't have a phone until I was 13 and my husband didn't have one until he was 15 and could pay for it. Our daughter won't be having one until she's a teen either. It's completely unnecessary.

I don’t think any age is too young tbh. My little brother has and iPad with service on it so basically like a huge cell phone. He can text. And FaceTime without having internet and he was 3 at the time. Now he’s 6 and has a phone and ipad 😂

I got my first phone at 15. I had a job and paid for the bill myself. I only had the phone because I was working and doing afterschool programs.  My child will he the same and will not grow up on electronics.
