When to install car seat?

The internets say to install car seat around 35-37 weeks. But when should i really? When did you? I want to be prepared but also don’t want to drive around for a month with a car seat.

I already have my base installed won’t put the actual car seat in the car until I go into labor

I’m 37 weeks this weekend, and we’re installing the bases then. We’re obviously using an infant car seat though.
