Very thirsty at night?

Anyone else get extremely thirsty at night but not much during the day? When it’s time for bed I’m so thirsty i sometimes drink my whole 32 oz cup of water and drink a lot when I get up with my daughter in the middle of the night too. Any chance this is breastfeeding related?

Yes! It is defintely vreastfeeding related. You need to keep hydrated to produce enough milk. I noticed that when i wouldn't drink enough water my milk supply would decrease. It is your body's natural way of replenishing.

I’m the same way...I literally have cat tongue at night and when I’m up nursing in the wee hours of the morning...

I also tend to be more thirsty during the late afternoon and over night. I drink 2 16oz glasses before bed, and at least 2 more through the night. My daughter is 2 months old and only gets up once during the night to nurse.
