Meal Delivery services after giving birth?

What have been the experiences, what kind of meal delivery did you do? Did it make things a little easier? Thoughts in general?

I didn't do meal delivery but I meal prepped a shit ton of food before I gave birth. From soup to lasagna. Just froze a ton of food that I could throw in the microwave or in the oven quick without worry and I loved that I did it.

My OB actually advised against any freezer meals or meal deliveries. It sounds crazy, but it was the best PP advice I received. 
“Stay away from them. Of course if your mom / aunt / best friend wants to bring you food, accept it. But as far as deliveries or premade food by choice- don’t. Having to cook gives you something to do, something to move around for. Even if it’s a pop tart or a pb&j, it gets you to walk a little bit and help bounce back”

We started using Sunbasket after I got pregnant and continued using it pp. I absolutely love it! It’s similar to Blue Apron, but the meal options are tastier, more flexible, and organic. You still have to cook and prep everything, but they deliver all of the ingredients with the recipe directions to make it easier. For super lazy days when I don’t feel like cooking I’m also a fan of DoorDash 👍

I used instacart to deliver groceries to my door from Publix and they bring hot food as well. Same day delivery usually within and hour or two.

We started getting blue apron when I had my daughter. She just turned 2 and we still get them every week. :-)

I delivered at 10:44pm so I didn’t eat afterwards 😂 I had chicken strips the next day
