What should I do?

12DPO took a test and it is negative. Did not use FMU bc I was having a fluttering feeling in my lower abdomen and have been having pregnancy dreams. So I just decided to take a test. AF is due in 2 days. When should I retest? Should I wait to see if AF doesn’t show? Has anyone had a negative and then a positive close to AF? Feeling kind of let down now :(

With my daughter I took one 2 days before period was due with a negative and got a positive at 3 days late.
