Does having sex after a section hurt?

If so, why? How bad?

It did for me. I was told it was all to do with my hormones. Also we had not had sex in ages. I think my husband was freaked when I hit the third trimester. It was also hard for me to get wet after, my sex drive was so low the time I was breastfeeding.

But good God it hurt 100 times more after my other vaginal delivery and was painful for 9 months.

I had sex two weeks after my first c section. 😬 I was on top so I felt in control and no pain for me. I had twins that first time and was only 21. My second c section and 3rd child we waited the 6 weeks mainly bc we had three kids and it was hard with his work schedule and I was so much more tired (11 years between first two pregnancies) it didn’t hurt, I just couldn’t have hime lay his weight on me bc I had issues healing from that c section so I was very protective of my incision. But no pain. I am 26 weeks with baby number four now, not sure how it will go this time.

It was uncomfortable but it was more the feeling of not having sex for ages than actually pain. Scar was just tender. Go slooooow. Third time was normal again for me.

Didn’t hurt for me, more just uncomfortable because it had been six weeks. 
Go slow, if lube is your thing-use lube, lots of foreplay, enjoy each other ❤️

It hurt so bad 😂😂😂 i was crying through it but told him to ke going because the pain should subside, it did after a fee minutes but my word. Never again i was goven the okay by my dr that 4 weeks was okay! Im waiti linger next time 😂😂😂 not sure itll help since the next 5 times it still hurt 😂
