I’ve had it. Vaccines are important. Wouldn’t want my child needlessly getting sick/potentially dying of whooping cough. We’re not in the Stone Age anymore

I got mine.  My 18 month old has his and Daddy got his two years ago.  So far so good.  Your arm will be a bit sore (this is very typical of the TDAP and tetanus shots).
 
All my friends had theirs while pregnant too and no issues at all.  It passes to the baby to provide a small amount of immunity (not full) as they do not get their TDap until they are 6 months??

Absolutely! Pertussis (whopping cough) can be fatal in newborns/infants and the baby will receive some immunity if you get the shot while pregnant. Plus your baby can’t get their first round of vaccines for it until they’re 2 months and takes a series of five shots to be fully vaccinated over a the first few years. Anyone who is going to be close to the baby like your SO or grandparents should get the vaccination too. Pertussis is on the raise and we’re going into the prime season for it. Get the vaccine as well as the flu shot. I’ve gotten both with all my pregnancies and had completely healthy babies.

Just had it yesterday. I did my research and it is safe for me and for baby. It helps provide a small immunity for your baby, who can't get the vaccine until they are older. My personal choice to do so was because of the season my baby is being born in.

I got mine with both pregnancies. This time especially since he’ll be born in the midst of cold and flu season, I’m not going to risk his health. Whooping cough is no joke.

I did a bunch of research on it and it seemed that there was not enough evidence to tell one way or the other if it was bad or good.

They last 10 years. So I declined it since I had one 7 years ago.
