Silver nitrate and Sex

So I went for my postpartum visit where I was sure I’d be cleared for sex. Not that I feel like I’m quite up to it yet. They did to give it two more weeks...is this normal? I only had 2nd degree tearing. Then the mofo put silver nitrate on my stitches to help them heal.
