Please help me

So all I did was tell my boyfriend of 1 year and a 1/2 that I wanted to move back home to my parents because I don’t exactly enjoy living with his family and my mom got a job out of town and my parents need help up keeping their property; we have a farm property with many animals. I suggested we get our own place. We both make more then enough money to afford it but He thinks it’s a waste of money. Anyways long story short he legit went from a slow cry to balling his eyes out saying he “ just loves me so much and doesn’t want to loose me”. I tried to be supportive and sympathetic but I was getting none in return. He just kept giving me reasons why me moving out would effect his life negatively and how he won’t cook for himself or clean up after himself and he will feel all alone in his house with just his dad. I’m literally moving ten minutes away from his house. I don’t know what to do. He had a minor meniscus surgery a week ago and he said once he heals he plans to move to San Diego with the rest of his family if I move out. What should I do? How would you feel?
