Spotting and ovulation

Okay ladies I could use some expert advice! So we are trying for baby #2 and the plan was to finish this pack of BC and then we will start trying next month. Well Monday I started spotting (brownish) and it was over before I even realize it had started. So today I decided to take an ovulation test (Friday) and it was flashing with a smiley so high fertility!

I keep thinking that can’t be right?!? 4 days after a “period” or 3 days before my normal one is supposed to start? Anyone have any insight on this?
