Pregnant with twins?

Question

So I had a blood test today and my ob said my hcg levels were pretty high for only being 5 weeks along, she didn't tell me my hcg number even though I asked her twice but she instead proceeded to ask if multiples ran in my family. Should I be concerned? First ultrasound is scheduled for two weeks out, would they even be able to tell if I'm having twins by then? 
Side note: I'll be switching OB's

I am having mo/di twins (identical and share a placenta) and it was clear as day) also just FYI my hcg was normal ranges with my twins but super super high with my Singleton before the twins. Hcg does not determine multiples.

Hcg levels are not a good twin indicator. All my levels were normal.

Yes they can tell if it's twins at 7 weeks. Mine only showed one at 5 weeks and there were two at 7!

I'm wondering the same at my 6-week 2 day blood work my levels came back at over 40,000 she said that it was really high and asked me if I was having multiples or if they ran in my family (by she I mean the ultrasound tech who was scheduling my appointment she seen my chart) but I have another week until my scan so maybe it's just one baby and my levels are just really high.

I was 7+2 and it was very obvious I had two but they were di/di so the separate sacks made it clear. I’m not sure how clear it would be for mono twins.

I found out I was having twins at 6+3!

I was wondering too my my hcg number was 15,432 at 4 weeks and six days on Thursday is that a high number for being one baby
