What are the options in a relationship when one partner wants a baby and the other doesn’t?

I’m fearful that me and my partner will come to this debate in the future. What are the options of this when on partner really wants a baby, and one partner doesn’t? How do people go around it?

Me personally I would have to be with someone that shares the same views with me on children because I am not at all up for negotiating whether or not I will keep my baby I WILL. I don’t care if it’s bad timing, too soon too late whatever I’m keeping my baby period. I let anyone I lay down with know that ahead of time.

There are only two options. For one of you to give in (either the person wanting kids to give up on the idea or the person not wanting kids to give the partner kids. Or to break up. But usually the person wanting kids will end up resenting the partner that doesn't want children. It's a tough conversation but it needs to happen sooner rather than later. It's always a conversation I had at the very beginning because I didn't want to invest in a man who wouldn't eventually give me children.

personally either someone’s mind has to change organically (you cannot try to change the other persons mind and they cannot try to change yours) or this becomes a natural end in the relationship. as much as you two may love each other, this is not a part of your future anyone should have to compromise on.

Honestly, you guys have to talk about it in the soon future or now. Cause it sucks when you just think someone has the same idea as you and they’re the opposite. My boyfriend wants kids in the future but I don’t at all. And when the topic comes up it’s just awkward or we get into a big tiff. You don’t want to be deep into a relationship or falling deeper in love and have the topic of kids be two different answers and someone leaving. Be vocal, and who knows maybe someone bends and changes their mind  over time
