Ford escape; yes or no?

We've been looking into getting an SUV. We're at the convertible carseat stage and i often have to sit between my girls on long drives, and we have a 6+ hour drive at least 5x a year. So far i've found that i like the ford escape best out of what i've looked at. Any better choices? Should we go for it?

Escapes are pretty small. We traded ours in. For one thing there are overlapping seatbelts in the back so technically only 2 people or “2 car seats” no one should sit in between. Also, not much trunk space especially with kids. My brother went out and got one and once they had baby #2 regretted it. I have a 2017 Kia Sedona we got for a great price. To me as long as I have wheels and we aren’t cramped I’m happy. Most 3rd row suvs have such little trunk space too so that turned me off.

I’d say the Ford Edge. I have an escape now and will be upgrading to an Explorer soon. I’d get an Edge but I have dogs plus a baby on the way, but the Edge has more space than the Escape.

Honda HR-V’s are great, also. We have the smaller version (CR-V) and I’m pretty obsessed with it lol.

I messed up and got an Escape first, ended up trading it in less than a year later because it was too small for us. We ended up with an Explorer and couldn’t be happier! Sooo much room for a family of 3 and 2 Rottweilers. We are military so we travel home a few times a year (8+ hour drive one way) I would recommend it to anyone ❤️

It’ll be a little cramped. I had two car seats in my Ford Escape, and nobody could fit in the middle. We upgraded to a Dodge Durango, now I’m in my second Durango and love it!

I had a 2014 Escape and loved it before having kids. Problem is the backseat leg room sucks. If you rearface the car seats I think you will have issues getting two in the back. 
I’m expecting twins and just traded it in on a 2015 GMC Acadia because I can’t get 2 infant car seats in it without the front seats needing to be moved really far up. Love the Acadia so far. Twins won’t be here for a few months yet so can’t say how car seats fit but my SIL has one and loved it.

I don't think you will be comfortable with two car seats in an escape. We traded ours when I got pregnant with my second at 7 months pp

As a CPST honestly I’d say it’s a pretty tight fit depending on which car seats you have.
