Did you bring your husband to your first OB appointment?

My first OB appointment is September 28. I’m pretty sure I’ll be just over the 5 week mark. I don’t think at this stage my doctor will do an ultrasound. Do you think it’s necessary for him to be there? He has an appointment at the same time as mine for his thyroid condition and I don’t want him to move it, we’ve waited over a month for that specialist appointment.

I have my first appointment when I’ll be about 8 weeks and I’m getting an ultrasound so I’m bringing my husband. I really only care if he goes to the ones where I have an ultrasound though.

My husband doesn’t want me to go to any appt alone 😅 he’s so excited it’s kind of adorable. So he’ll be coming along but I don’t know that we’re doing an ultrasound or anything like that so it might just be informational and checking my health and such - I’ve tried to tell him that he doesn’t need to come to everyone and take off work to do it but he insists

Mines not coming to mine because its smack bang in the middle of the day! But apparently the first appointment is just all the questions so he shouldnt miss anything x

I wouldn’t switch your husbands appointment! But yes I did bring my husband to my first appointment it was totally informational and a pee test.

The earliest they would generally be able to see a heartbeat even if they did an ultrasound would be 6 weeks so he wouldn’t miss that.  I think maybe just bring him to the next one especially if it relates to his health!

It’s totally up to you! With our son, my husband came to the first couple. But then it switched to only ultrasound appointments. This time around, my husband is only coming to the private ones we make. Not the doctors office appointments themselves.

I don’t think so. They have separate appointments for scans. All they will really ask is lots of questions about your medical history and they’ll just check your blood pressure. They’ll also advice you about what not to eat and things like that. They only need you for the appointment and it’s quite a long one where not a lot happens. The scan is the exciting one :) x

My fiancé is coming with me. This is our first and I will be a little over 9 weeks so we should be able to see our little cherry 🍒 
I also want him there in case they ask about the medical history on his side of the family as I am less familiar.
We are so excited and it will finally feel real once we see the little one! One more week to go! 🙂🙂🙂
