IVF and the Bible?

Question

What does The Bible say about IVF and fertility treatments/medicine in general? I’m a devoted Believer and believe God beings life together and is ultimately the one in control if it sticks or not but just wondering. Please help me out I’m not struggling with infertility just want to know as I’m unsure about this in reference to God and the Bible I know some say it’s playing God and people shouldn’t do it and if they can’t have kids they should not have any cause it’s not what God has for them or They Should just adopt. Other christians still do IVF or other fertility medicine/Treatment. I have kids already and would love more if I’m blessed with more. I don’t judge but personally I don’t even believe in birth control but in being in a married committed relationship that is stable to provide and just accept whatever kids God gives me! I believe we are supposed to trust God with every area of live even though not everyone does and this includes fertility and not try to control it myself. I love kids ❤️ and I really view kids as a blessing and try to raise them to be great in business and character and society ☺️ I need some bible verses or info from other devoted Christians trying to live by faith and follow God in every aspect of their lives. God does the impossible. 
We do what is possible here on earth.
If it is possible for you to work, do so. That doesn't mean He won't provide. I believe that to be true in this instance as well.
If a couple decides to receive fertility treatment because of medical reasoning & God decides this is how they'll conceive it's not an issue against His word. If it is available to them God will still have His hand in everything. 
The barren women in the Bible also lived to be in their hundreds. That's a long time to wait. We don't have that lifespan, & the advances He's created in this time is just as much His will as conceiving naturally is.
Same thing with birth control. But that's a different topic in itself.
The word of God is not the only source of guidance. He said He left us the Holy Spirit, & with that discernment many new revelations can occur. With that discernment we need to study what is literal in His word, what is metaphoric, what is a parable, what group of people He was speaking to, what time & era He said something to those people etc.

I don’t think anything we do- birth control, IVF, etc- would stop His plan. God’s Will will be done and He’s planned for every action we take. He’s so much more powerful than anything we can understand so if He wants a child to be born it will and if He doesn’t it won’t. Sometimes God works through miracles but I think most of the time God works through ways we can understand like medical science. I definitely don’t think birth control or IVF are sinful but the Bible says that sins are personal so what may not be a sin for one person might be for another. I would pray about it with your husband and every day and see where the Spirit leads you.

I don’t think fertility treatments to conceive are a sin to god. I believe that all of the advances in medicine is the work of god  man gets the worldly credit money awards etc but god gets the glory. With that being said the only thing I don’t agree with and I find to be a slight sin is when couples do gender selection things of that nature. I’m not god though so I will not judge. My advice would be to pray about and see what god says. Only he can assign a life/soul it’s really not up to us. Stay blessed hun.

I have been trying to conceive 4 3 years now. I have used any and every treatment except for IVF only due to funds. My faith is in God . I believe if it is supposed to happen whether by IVF or naturally is in God's hands. So it kills when people say that is not of God. So don't take meds for cancer diabetes. If it is not supposed to be it will not be. I truly believe God has given knowledge her on earth to doctors. I seen couple go through multiple cycles of IVF and then conceive naturally or the opposite conceive on their first IVF cycle. Whatever is His will will happen.

When thinking about this, remember to keep in mind that god created science. Science was originally intended to be the study of his creation, not the twisted mess it is today. I personally can’t think of anything in the Bible that would direct whether it was right or wrong. Because, you’d literally have to take a verse, twist it, and misquote it to fit this. IVF didn’t exist and nor did they anticipate it to exist. I say, pray about it. This is your personal walk with god and only he can truly direct you one way or another. Also, if you go to church, you can try getting some wisdom from your pastor. Good luck in whatever you choose.

Hey Christine. All I could think of are the many scriptures of barren women in the bible. Isaac also prayed for his wife. I know we're new testament living but the Same God and Same Faith. So look up different scriptures referring to barren women.

Verses I don’t have. What I can say is this: God is in control, but we can help! God gave giants minds to understand the body and medicine. Why would we not use the tools He had given us? If you feel IVF is an option for you, pray about it. If you feel comfortable, go for it!
