Can teenagers know what love is?

My dads trying to tell me that I don’t know what love is 😂👎🏼 my boyfriend & I have been together for a year and are madly in love regardless of what anyone says

For sure teenagers can feel love. But I think it does kind of take on a new meaning as you get older. Love just feels different as you get into different stages of your life.

I think love changes. You can be madly in love with someone in your teens, sure, and at the time it can feel like that and then when you’re older you might realise it was just puppy love. You just loved having company and feeling special. Orrrrr you could actually be madly in love, stick together and in the future get married or whatever. No one can tell you how you feel but at the same time, teenagers don’t really know what they feel a lot of the time,, everything is very dramatic and intense when you’re growing up 😅

It's possible teens know what love is. My sister was 14 when she met her boyfriend, and he was 15. they've been together since she was 15 and she's 18 now. They're engaged. I met my boyfriend when I was 13, he was 15. Granted we didn't date until we were 23 & 25, but back then I knew it was love at first sight. We just had some major girl drama issues and I just wasn't about it then nor am I now.

I’m 17. I’ve been with my boyfriend for more than 3 years. I have two kids with him as well. Even without our children, I wouldn’t change anything for the world because I love him and I’ve loved him since I was 14 years old. I think teenagers can feel love and be in love but you have to know when you’re pouring your heart out to the right person and only your heart will know that not you.

My parents met when they were 14(mom) and 16(dad). They have been together ever since. They got married at 22 and 26 then had me a year later and my sister 3 years later my dads been in the Air Force since he was 18 and they stayed together through all that and are still together. So yes I think so.

My dad told me that, too. However, the first man I EVER fell in love with was a guy in 11/12th grade. Met in 12th, I dated a couple of guys before him but I knew it was him all along. He was amazing, but I broke his heart as well as my own. Honestly if I could go back in time, I would. But, he’s happy now and so am I, so it’s not a huge deal, but yes teenagers can feel love. I think you just don’t always realize if it’s love or not at a younger age.
