How long were you in early labor before active labor started?

Question

I am 39+5 and having contractions that started at 6-10 mins apart but have slowed to like 2 every half hour or so.  Curious how long others were in early labor before active labor started.

Oh that crap can last forever. I had sessions like that at least four days before I actually started dilating and what not lol

I had contractions at 38+4 that were 3-5 minutes apart so we went to L&D, they had dilated my cervix from 1/2cm to 2, but no further than that. At 39 weeks I got my membranes sweeped, after still having contractions the rest of the week, it caused cramping all weekend and I’m still cramping at 39+4. I’ve resigned to the fact that ill be pregnant forever 🙁
That being said im still cramping like crazy and my back pain is near excruciating today, so 🤞🏻🤞🏻

With my first i had contractions started at 1pm that were 20min apart, then by around 9pm they were 15min apart, midnight they were 10min apart and 3:30am they quickly jumped to 3 min apart. Got to the hospital at 4-4:30 was 5cm in triage, 8cm when they got me to birthing suite and delivered my son at 9:58am

I started having contractions in the morning and had my bloody show i waited to go to my last appt at 12pm i was already at 5cm in active labor but my contractions weren’t painful or consistent went to the hospital at 3pm had my baby at 7

I started laboring at 7am, I happened to have a Dr appt that day, so by 9am I was told I was 4 cm dilated and I could go to the hospital. I chose to labor at home, so we didn't leave for the hospital til 7 PM,  when I was about 5 minutes apart on contractions and beggining to really feel the pain.
