Letting your child get a piercing

Seen a post about that and thought hey that would be a good topic to talk about. What age would you allow your child to get a piercing? Not generally speaking of ears more so other piercings.

Imo I think 15-16 is an good age, as long as they can take care of it. I'd pay for it through a birthday present or Christmas but if my child could afford it they can pay for it themselves.

My personal experience... I got my lip, belly button and tongue all done at 15. Would you allow your child to get something done like that? Even though I got all 3 done I took out the lip a year after it was done still have the others to this day. I honestly cant say I'd let my son/daughter get 3 piercings in less than a year but I'd definitely be open to 1. Opinions on this?
