So I’m 16 and this guy and I have been talking for almost 8 months now, we have developed really deep feelings for each other and we care about each other so much! We want to start dating but it’s difficult because my parents won’t allow our relationship to go ahead as he is a different nationality and religion (I am orthodox and he is Muslim) They believe that the relationship will never work but I really can’t see myself with anyone else. I don’t want to lose my best friend. Everytime I see him i’m so happy but then guilt just takes over because I hate having to lie to my parents. He is an amazing person and I just hope they would see past his nationality, I just don’t know what to say to them to try and get them to understand. I’m so in love but so heartbroken at the same time...
