Not really a rant, but I don’t know where else to post. So did anyone else see this crazy backlash about Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street in the last few days? Apparently one of the writers over the years, who himself is a gay man, said that he always thought of them as gay. But then the creator of the puppets came back and was like nah these guys aren’t gay. And now everyone is ticked? Dude he’s the literal creator who came up with these characters I think he knows them better than us. Lol. I mean I would believe him no matter which way he said.

It doesn’t really matter, they are puppets after all. But people are seriously going after each other over this from both sides. It’s crazy, but yea I guess if I had to think about it I would go with whatever the creator of the puppets say since he was the one who created them. I personally never thought about it either way. As a kid I simply thought that they were best friends and roommates.
