If your period is 6 days late and you're spotting, it's likely you're period. Implantation occurs before a missed period. It can depend on ovulation. But unless you have a wonky ovulation, I'd say you're period is arriving.

you wouldn’t have implantation bleeding if you were not pregnant. my period in april was late then at 4 days late i had a little bit of bleeding and then nothing, then period finally came at a week late. sometimes periods are just weird

You won't get a positive till at least 4 day's after implantation bleeding, sometimes up to a week.
