Just because I had a child at 15 doesn’t mean I pawned him off on my mother or anyone else 🙄

Some teen parents, like myself, actually take responsibility for our children. Once my child was born I decided to homeschool so that I was home with him during the day, at night I went to work at a pizzeria,and on my off days I babysat for other families.

My mother will be the first to tell you all she did was feed my son dinner and put him to bed!

I paid for our part of the bills and bought my own car at 16. I bought everything my son needed, if my mother or anyone else bought him anything it was because they wanted to not because they had to. I also finished high school with a 3.4 gpa and am currently going to college (which I’m paying for myself!)

I hate hearing,” So your mother actually raised him?” No, no she didn’t.

If I had him at 25 and my mother watched him while I went to work no one would dare say that!

You don’t know my experience so don’t just assume I’m part of the stereotype!
