Please ask your doctors

Recently, I’ve seen numerous posts regarding concerns or suspicions and people asking questions that really should be answered by their Physicians only.

Often times the story will start out that they were at the doctor and the doctor said such and such and they are looking for others in the community to interpret or give advice. Please be open with and ask all these questions to your doctors and look to them for interpretation initially. If you don’t agree with that answer and are looking for other’s advice, that’s different entirely and I understand that. I’m talking about the ones who didn’t even ask the initial question.

Posting on here for support and asking for personal stories is appropriate and what this community is about. But not to give you medical interpretation or to relieve your concerns. Your physicians are the ones who have the plethora of information about you and your medical history, etc. If you didn’t think of the question in the moment of your visit, call them back or use your online system to email.

It’s imperative that you’re sharing your concerns with you doctor because you never know when certain symptoms or gut feelings can help your doc lead to the right answers for a problem. If you’re posting about a concern and someone’s personal story lessens that concern inappropriately, it could be detrimental to you or your baby.
