Should I get an epidural? 34 weeks and 4 days

This is my second pregnancy. I got to the hospital to late to get my epidural so I had no choice but natural for my first. Yes the labor was horrible but the worst was just pushing. I'm assuming the epidural helps with that along with soothing the contractions. Who recommends the epidural, I could go anyday now

I am 100% for the epidural. I had one with my 1st and plan one with this one too lol. I felt my contractions during the pushing stage but they didn't hurt. It was a gift from god and I was able to sleep!

Nope. Try natural.
Women are way too quick to jump to the epidural since its a known option.
If you have to take it, at least try to labor for as long as you can without it.

I had an epidural and had horrible complications. I am going natural this time. Your second comes more quickly than the first usually with half the pushing time so I doubt you’d even have need of it.

It's completely up to you. I didn't want it, I knew labor is painful. With my first at 19, I was induced in the hospital and managed not to get the epidural. it was brutal as I had back labor but once baby was out, everything was fine. I had my second at home in the water this January with no medicine, not even tylenol. again, the pain was only during labor. as soon as he was out, it was fine.  what got me through was not giving myself the option. I'm having another homebirth in may. I tried to stay calm and breathe through it all and tell myself the pain wont last forever.
that was just me, though, i REALLY didn't want it. if you want it, get it:)

Once I had my epidural I was able to rest. I really needed it as I pushed for hours.

I haven’t had my baby yet but I’ve been looking up my options ... I want a natural birth but If it’s not possible I want to try the gas. I spent a couple of hours looking up side effects and what not. I personally want the epidural to be my very last option. I would just say do your research.

Do what you think is best for you, there are no wrong answers. If you find yourself in too much pain then go for it! :)

Yessss. With my first I was in sooo much pain, but soon after I got my epidural my labor turned into such a peaceful experience. I still felt the contractions so I knew when to push. It just didn’t hurt. I plan on having it again with this next baby.

Inter thecal or something its called is like an epidural but you can walk, you could ask for that
