This guy and I started dating very recently, I like him a lot and we have so many things in common! The only downside is that he’s friends with his ex, and not just friends like best friends. I thought it was pretty weird but I was okay with it because my best friend is a guy and I’m still kinda friends with one of my ex’s. They broke up 9 months ago and she has a boyfriend. He doesn’t hide his phone from me and he openly lets me read their texts. It all seems fine but here are the things that are concerning:

1. He bought her a Valentine’s Day gift and they had already been broken up for about a month.

2. She knows about me and still tells him “I miss you” and he actually reply’s with “I miss you too”

3. She got upset because they lost a texting streak? He proceeded to treat her how he should treat me.

4. It seems like they talk as if they’re together, not friends. I know I don’t talk to any of my best friends or ex this way.

Those are the things that bother me and he knows they bother me. He says that they’re not interested in each other and never will be but if they fell in love once before it can happen again. I feel like I’m overreacting but I can’t help the fact that this is really getting under my skin!
