How many weeks before due date does your maternity leave begin?

Would love to hear when you guys are taking maternity leave. Mine is currently three weeks before DD but looking to extend.

I am working up until I go into labor, I can't afford to take extra days off. Teachers only get their sick and state days and thats it, after that we dont get paid leave.

In my country you HAVE to stop working 8 weeks before your due date, otherwise your employer will get fined.

I work a desk job and I thankfully have the ability to work from home if needed so I am working right up till I have the baby. I don’t want to waste any of the time I will have with the  baby beforehand

I’m not taking any until I go into labor. I only get 16 weeks so don’t want to waste them prior to having him here.

Unfortunately like most people here in the US, I have to work right up until baby is born. If I take off early it will cut into the time I get off after I give birth (12 weeks unpaid for me).

I’m going up until I go into labor. I only get 5 weeks paid and taking three weeks of vacation. 😭

I’m taking it 10 days before did but have around 5 weeks of holiday to use up too so taking that before hand. Then taking a year off, so about 13 months total

After I deliver. 
I’m a RN and worked up until I gave birth with my first as well. I needed all the time off after baby was here and my maternity leave still went by too quickly.
