Silhouette vs Cricut!?

Question

Mommies....do any of y’all have experience with Silhouette or Cricut for all those cute mommy and baby shirts I see online and in boutiques!?
- 1st, which do you prefer? 
- 2nd, are the images/wording to print on shirt free and easy to find online? 
- 3rd, worth the trouble or easier to just buy the shirts? Lol

It depends! The Cricut is nice but the design software of it is very limited. If you need freedom and flexibility from your design software , you may find the Cricut disappointing. I like Silhouette Studio a lot better and the machine is also really nice. 
The wording you simply type onto the software - so yes its free. Then you just style it to taste with fonts and/or images. The images are also free if you design them yourself but you can also buy them or “borrow” them from google images as long as you don’t sell them.( that’s would be illegal)

I got a cricut maker for Mother’s Day 2018. $400 machine. Went to use the print to cut feature for the first time in January. Wouldn’t work. I contacted support. They made me take a crazy video of It not working. Sound on. Flip It so you can see the serial number. Put my name and address on a post It in the video. I emailed every single day for an entire month for them to tell me that The light sensor is broken and it’s too far out of warranty to fix. I said ok is there another option to fix It?  No, have to buy a whole new machine. Lol I can’t even pay to have It fixed. I kept asking if I can pay. They closed my case. Sent me a feed back email. I gave them the negative feed back. Contacted again to try to get It fixed. They haven’t responded to me.
