What to eat during labor?

Question

We are giving birth at a birth center that allows/encourages eating and drinking during labor and we need to bring our own food and drink.  What should I bring?  I have no clue what I will want during labor!

I’m thinking of bringing light things since I don’t think I will feel like eating anything too heavy. Was thinking of bringing coconut water, Naked juices, nuts, applesauce, and some granola bars

my SO brought McDonalds in my birthing suite for me during labour. I was around 4/5cm dilated at that time 😆 lol

Everyone is different. When I had my first baby I didn’t want anything. I didn’t even eat before I left the house. But afrerwards I wanted something light and fresh, so I had fruit. I’m aloud to eat where I’m going for baby number 2 & route if I want something I can ask someone to get it for me. My husband and mom will be there. It’s hard to know for sure until you’re in the moment.

I ate pb and toast before I got meds and everything and I’m so glad I did! Something filling but not too heavy

I was told anything you don’t mind seeing again just in case you get sick 😂
