Depends on if there were complications with your labor and delivery, if you had a healthy pregnancy, and other risk factors. The usual reccomendation is to wait at least 1 year after a healthy, uncomplicated pregnancy and can go up to 2+ years for a complicated pregnancy or delivery, or c-section. 
I would consult with your OBGYN or midwife and talk with them about how soon you could safely begin trying for your next baby 😊

We waited almost 10 years. We had our son and split for about 7 years and finally realized we still loved each other and wanted our family together so we gave it another shot. We have been back together almost 3 years and now have a 10 year old and a 3 month old.

We had our first in 2009 and tried for a year to have another one once he was 8m old. After a year, my dr. wanted me to go on fertility meds but i refused as i was barely 20. Then 8 years later, we randomly fell pregnant (we werent using any kind of prevention methods bc 1. we still wanted another baby and 2. we were told we couldn't without meds.) So after 8 years, we FINALLY ahve another. Now #2 is 7 months old and I am 7 weeks with #3. It still puzzles me as to why it took so long to conceive our 2nd.
