Medicaid when Married? Please Help...

In my bio I have that I'm a wife. Well, we are not legally married but he is my husband at heart and I'm his wife at heart. We were going to get married on October 6th. But in February I found out I was pregnant, due October 18th. Which pushed our wedding a little bit. Our little Hunter Lee was born 3 months early on July 22nd. Because of this we feel like it may be another year or 2 before we can do it. We have been talking a lot about how we want so badly to get married. But we are worried about losing our sons insurance and especially being premature, we need him to have Medicaid because he has insane medical bills and will for his first few months at home from what I'm told by nurses. He will be going home on oxygen so we need it to cover that and the appointments he will have because of it as well.

My question is, if my fiance and I got married before he came home, would it affect his Medicaid? I am not currently working and when I go back I am part time with no insurance. His father works thru a private contractor so he doesn't get insurance. Before I got pregnant, I didn't qualify for anything. Not SNAP, HUD, or Medicaid for myself.

I'm scared to ask my social worker because she may assume we're already married since I asked.
