When is it too soon to accurately test for pregnancy??

Question

I thought I broke my heel and decided to go into the doctors to get checked out. Since I'm ttc, they took a pregnancy test before taking me into x-rays. I'm only 5dpo. Test turned out negative. So my question is, of course, could it be too soon for even a doctor to REALLY know unless my period doesn't come? Or am I just crazy lol 🙃🙃

5 dpo is definitely too soon for anytime test, and probably even a blood test

Five DPO is definitely too soon.

I tested at 8dpo and got a negative, but tested again at 9dpo and got a faint positive. 5dpo is definitely too early! Don’t give up! The closer to AF the better.
