When do I start buying stuff for baby and what should I start buying ?

Go buy stuff if you want to. Be positive. The chances that a pregnancy will lead to a baby are high, much higher than the chance for problems.
With my first we bought small things right away. We weren’t waiting for something bad to happen/not happen, we just needed time to research what we wanted for the big stuff and that took a few months.
This time we still have much of the big stuff, but I’ve bought a baby book, some secondhand must haves like swaddles and sleep sacks, onesies, etc in gender neutral colors, and diapers! Definitely don’t bother with NB size diapers though. I’ve been buying a small pack of size 1 in every (natural low chemical) brand so that we can try each one. Never stock up all on one brand!

I’ll be waiting until I find out the gender.  Then I will be going all the way out because I’ll know the gender plus I’ll be pass the safe zone. I did the same with my first 3 babies :)

You should begin purchasing stuff between 6 or 7 months

I say wait after the first trimester. I will be buying diapers in advance, and all the furniture ( since we have everything away thinking we were done). Baby clothes, I’ll wait right before since this weather is all over the place.

I’m waiting on most stuff. I’ll probably start researching cribs, strollers, and carriers soon. I’ve heard that stocking up on diapers is something you should do throughout, whenever there’s a sale on. But not newborn size, more of the 1 and 2 because you never know how quickly they might outgrow the NB. Same for clothes—they’ll outgrow it so fast and people will gift it to you so much that it’s not really worth buying yourself.
