Cervix question

Ok so I see a high risk dr every other week and get a transvaginal ultrasound to check my cervix. (I had an abruption with my first and she was born at 33+6) She said I was pretty much having contractions the whole time she was doing my ultrasound. She finally got a measurement of cervix and it’s still long at 4.11( done yesterday at 21+1). She said she had to go make sure the dr was ok with it because the contraction went all the way down into my cervix. She came back and said I was good to go so I’m assuming he was fine with it. What does this mean? I’m confused lol!
