My boyfriend and I have been together for 1 and 4 months and we haven’t said I love you yet. I really was hoping he’d be the first one to say it, but nope. I haven’t said it either because I just honestly don’t want to say it first which sounds stupid I know.

Now I’ve talked to him about this and he says that he has really strong feelings for me and if he were to say it, it would feel like a one way street. What does that mean???

Why won’t he just say it? He always uses “I have strong feelings for you babe. I think I’m there” or my favorite, “I really care about you and I really really like you”

I get we both lack emotional communication, but if he were really in love does it even matter at this point if I were to say it back? He would just express it right?

I love him, but I’m not sure if I’m in love. Hope this makes sense!
