Newborn outfits needed?

My first child here. I am wondering how much newborn onesies and pants and pjs I need. I looked online says newborn size can go all the way up to 8 lbs so should I get maybe 6 pairs of tops bottoms and pjs ? I am so focused on 0-3 but I feel I should get newborn stuff too

My first was 8lb3oz and wore nb for 3 weeks. Second was 7lb5oz and we switched he into 0-3 around 5weeks though she could have stayed in nb prob another week or so. We got roughly 2 weeks worth of clothes but cycled through them pretty quick due to spit up and massive blow outs.

My son never wore newborn because he was born 8lbs 13oz. I would wait and send someone to buy them if you need them.

I have a few newborn just in case but my daughter was 8lb 5 oz and was wearing a size 1diaper when she was born and the second tends to be bigger so we are doing mostly 0-3

My son wore a newborn onesie home then never wore another newborn outfit and he was only 7 pounds 11 ounces so technically should have fit but his head didn’t 😂

My daughter was 8lbs5oz at 39 weeks and she wore newborn for like a week. You can always buy newborn last minute of you need it or exchange it after. Whatever is easier

I think I have around 10 newborn outfits with sleepers/PJs included. I don’t want to buy much because I have a lot of friends who never even had their babies in newborn! I figure if I have to do more laundry that’s better than having clothes she’ll never wear.
