False positive with clomid??

Question

Is it possible to get false positive opk result due to clomid? I’m on clomid 100mg for cd 3-7. Today is cd 5 and I tested opk and I got quite strong line - not positive yet but soon to be positive. What’s going on?

I’ve read that you can get false positives while on Clomid and that you should wait 3 days after your last pill to start testing.

Lh comes in a pulsatile pattern so even though it seems almost positive it will probably be more faint tomorrow and then so on and so forth until the real ovulation day it gears up and stays strong for 24 hours

This was my first cycle on Clomid. My cycle usually lasts 32-35 days, I took Clomid days 3-7  and started using clear blue easy ovulation kit on day 12 with no positive ovulation result. I consulted my doc and we started my trans Vag scans on the 14th of Sept (which was cycle day 14) went in every other day to see if the follicles have reached a mature size. Finally on the 19th I had only 1 follicle reach 20mm and took HCG trigger shot that night so I didn’t ovulate until 20/21st. Good luck!
