I delivered my son 4 days ago and I just noticed really bad swelling in my feet/ankles and was unsure of how common it is ..

My feet and ankles were swollen for almost two weeks after I gave birth it was so uncomfortable and painful I kept them elevated and iced them when possible

Its very common. They actually told me to expect it once I got home. Mine did not swell at all during my pregnancy. After 3 days of having him, my ankles were very swollen.

I delivered on a Tuesday and by Friday my ankles were so swollen they were the same width as my calf Andy legs were even bigger than that. It’s pretty normal, especially if you had an IV with fluids. I had a 4.5 hour labor and delivery and went through two full bags of fluids. I ended up retaining all of that and a week later I still weighed the same as the morning I delivered even though I wanna as no longer pregnant. I was pretty swollen for almost two weeks.

I read it is I am having slight swelling in my hands this is nany #5 and never had it before called edema?
