Lighter days?

Question, I know you’re supposed to empty your cup out every 12 hours, but towards the end of my period my flow is extremely light. Could I leave it in for more than 12 hours? Has anyone ever done that? Did anything happen?

Some people keep using it, but they should still be emptying every 12 hours for hygiene purposes. Some just buy a smaller cup for lighter days. Im not sure the reason exactly, but i guess it makes them feel better. :)

I have left it longer accidentally but I wouldn’t do it often. Typically when mine is light I just use liners.

When it’s that light, I usually take the cup out and use Dear Kate period underwear. I wouldn’t leave it longer than 12 hours. It still needs a regular wash.
