My little boy dax was born at 33 weeks exactly, the first few weeks he wouldn't even wake to eat i woke him every 3 hours but now he's waking to eat every 2 hours during the day and every 4-5 hours at night, but he always goes right back to sleep after eating, never really has waking times just eats then sleeps. I know he's not even at his due date yet his due date was October 7th but i would think he'd be awake at least some time throughout the day? Is this normal preemie behavior? Do your preemie babies sleep alot? Is it just because tget have so much growing to catch up on? He eats great and stays awake when eating then goes to sleep after until next feeding.

Not sure this info matters or not, but he was in ther NICU for 18 days was on feeding tube 14 if those days, they'd wake him every 3 hours to feed him and change him then swaddle him and put him back down. We came home 2 weeks 4 days ago. They all told me that when he got closer to his due date he'd just wake up one day and become a normal newborn, is this just his "normal"? Could he just be a really laid back baby? He just seems too sleepy, he's my 6th baby 5th breastfed, and none of my others were like this?
