Biting?

Does any one else’s toddler bite? My 17 mo old bites so hard. It’s random and most of the time it’s when he gets so excited he just latches on. It hurts so bad and he doesn’t want to let go. Just wondering if anyone else is going through it? When he does it i tell him no we don’t bite it hurts and then I put him down or step away from him for a minute.

My 17 month old is my second. She bites,hits and punches plus throws tantrums. My first was an angel at her age

Yes. My son bites but usually only while he’s teething. But he bites hard and latches on. He also hits a lot. He’s a handful.

My son will randomly bite but it’s playful. Not hard or malicious. He will playfully bite our cheeks or arm or leg and start giggling. 
But either way we tell him every time no biting so that way he knows not to lol
