My BEAUTIFUL baby boy was born on Friday, September 21, 2018. He weighed 7lbs, 5oz and is 20 in long! He is perfect & healthy 🙌🏼

However, I had some complications. I was scheduled to be induced on Friday, the 21st @5am. The nurses took my blood and sent it to the labs.. well, when my blood work came back, we found out that my platelet count was less than half of what it should be, & my hemoglobin was lower than it needed to be. Long story short, the meant I would not be able to have an epidural (which would risk severe bleeding in my spine.) A c-section was my best option for a safe delivery for both me and baby. We proceeded & thankfully I was able to deliver my healthy baby boy.

However, the next day, my blood work came back even lower than the day before. My doctor ordered for me to have 2 blood transfusions to help get my blood levels up & give me some more energy and strength and try to replenish all the blood my body had lost during surgery (700ml- 3 cups). God has truly answered our prayers. Things are definitely improving and it looks like we will finally be going home tomorrow around lunch! This puts us being in the hospital for 5 long days. Let’s just pray things continue in the right direction and I can heal fast so that I can give my beautiful boy all the love and attention he deserves!
