My SIL and her husband share one. He doesn’t care to have one, but she put his name on hers too so that his family/friends/whatever can still see pics of the kids, ect 
My husband very rarely ever goes on Facebook, but that’s the only way his older brother and sister contact him once in a blue moon. Everyone in his family is distant, moves around a lot, ect and it’s hard to keep track of new numbers/addresses, so Facebook is easiest. He’s contemplated just deleting it before but feels the need to keep it active because of that. If he ever DID choose to delete it, I’d probably add his name to mine just so everyone knew that they were free to contact him through my account as well 
I don’t think Facebook is a big enough deal to symbolize insecurity/ect. It’s a tool for communication, it doesn’t need to be deeper than that

My parents have a shared account. Simply because my dad had 4 friends and my mom had 40. Together they have 44. 😂
I personally don’t like shared accounts because I don’t know if I’m talking to Jenna or Joseph. 
But, that’s why I don’t have a shared account. For others it’s their little girl dream to add that & to their FB name. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I think that’s such a great way to guard your relationship, I love it. Cheating doesn’t happen to happy, in-love couples in the seasons when everything is just peachy. It happens when one spouse is feeling a bit neglected, or when you’ve hit a rough patch, or “life” has gotten in the way. If you want a long happy marriage, one that gets through the rough patches and comes out swinging on the other side until you are these two adorable wrinkly 93 year olds, then why not make it a little more bulletproof to begin with? Save yourself the heartache of living the consequences of a “weak moment” by putting in place rules that prioritize the long term success of your relationship at the outset. Allow each other access to your Facebook and email and phone accounts, don’t go out one-on-one with opposite sex pals, be open about your finances, etc. If this is your life partner what the heck have you got to hide/lose? And you have so much to gain! Long live long loves!

My boyfriend doesn’t even use facebook. Literally, the only time he’s ever been on it in our relationship was to add me as a friend and change his relationship status (because we’d been together for like a year or so). I just see that as an old people thing. Or like if you have like an Instagram account for your pet together or something, but that’s different.

Hahaha this is funny. Honestly I never really thought about one but I don’t think I’d care either way. If both people are comfortable with it and you want to then do it. Who gives a shit what other people think. They don’t have to like your relationship decisions. Only you do 😊

My husband and I have a joint account on fb because after high school my friends went ghost and I do not talk to my family at all. Before we each had an account and each other’s information. Cheating never happened in our marriage we just thought it was best to only have one account since I didn’t have any friends and family.
