Wedding dress shopping when trying to lose weight?

Hi ladies! I am wanting to get married between the end of February- April of next year.... I’ve been losing weight so I am unsure when I should go wedding dress shopping.... I was told that it takes awhile to get a dress but if I buy it now and it’s too big, can they alter it right before the wedding? Should I buy a dress one size smaller? Help 😫

You get alterations leading up to your wedding day, with the final fitting being very close to your wedding day. I don’t suggest doing what the other person suggested (buying a size smaller) because it will be a lot harder/more expensive to make the dress bigger than smaller.
