Hi ladies, those of you who were diagnosed with this, how long are you planning on doing the finger pricks? I was told by a Dr that I had to do it 4x/day for 2 weeks and then if not able to control sugar I’d need to meet with an endocrinologist. But the diabetes educator tells me to keep doing it thru entire pregnancy. My levels are under control and since it’s twins it’s debatable if I should even adhere to the prescribed thresholds since those are for singletons. Our main OBGYN gets this and basically said to not worry about it. It doesn’t look like I need Rx and it’s expensive and a giant pain in the butt. Thoughts?
