**Update 2** he’s been home since November 2020 and now we are planning a wedding and building a family now lol

My bf and i met 4 months prior to him being arrested.

He has always been a sweetheart to me. He never tried to pressure me about when i was giving up the booty lol or anything. He was a breath of fresh air from all the guys i was talking to prior to him. So he gets arrested and i think wow maybe it wasn’t meant to be. He was sentenced to 5 years... (non-violent offense). I tried to let him off easily and tell him we could be friends and i dated other men trying to not think of him. Me and him never had sex we were still in the unofficial dating scene. But now it’s been 3 years i can’t stop talking to him. He’s been there emotionally for me ever and had never treated me differently. I’m so inlove with a man who i have never slept with. This is a first to me. He’s talked to my mom to build a relationship with her and has gained a relationship with my daughter. He wants to marry me and i want to marry him. I would do it now but don’t want my family and friends to judge me. They already try and judge Now because he’s in prison. But honestly my happiness is what matters and from day one in the last 3 years this man has made me extremely happy. 2020 can’t come fast enough

**UPDATE**

A lot of people are asking what did he do. Well he was carrying a gun which is a felon without a permit where i live. Some people ask why was he carrying it?.. he’s a male who was working in a messed up area in Flint, Mi working midnights. Also trying to raise his 3 year old daughter at the time.. just to let everyone know who has concerns. Also although we knew each other for about 4 months prior he has never changed the way he treated me he’s been the same person actually more loving and caring since then.
