EBF and sleep patterns
FTM here, so im exclusively breast feeding and my milk came in EXTREMELY fast and heavy. at our 4 day checkup they said peanut would be about 1-2 lbs lighter but she was right at her birth weight. i explained she normally eats every 2.5-3 hours but id wake her up at night if she slept more than 3 hours. Doc scheduled a follow up for the very next week (today) to see her weight and i can tell shes gained but doc also said with her weight going up so awesome i could let her sleep 5 hours if i want. Any moms let their 2 week old sleep this long or is it better to keep her on a short feeding schedule? id love to just sleep the 5 hours lol, but not at risk of causing an issue for my little one. Only problem is she is SUCH a good sleeper that its very difficult to get her to stay awake after waking her and even then she does not like to eat very much, maybe 10 min on one side and 5min on the other after burping. am i better off just letting her sleep and eat when shes hungry?
