Secretly married and he wants to TTC

So earlier this month my husband and I were secretly married because our families threw a fit when we wanted to elope. The “wedding date” is Aug 3rd 2019. We had previously discussed/decided to TTC starting after the honeymoon in 09/19. My mirena IUD is now 8 years old. I brought it up that I was planning on having it taken out in the next month and would probably switch to pills since I didn’t want to pay for a new IUD I’d be having taken out in a year. I was horrible at remembering to taking pills which was why I switch to the IUD to start with which my husband reminded me (we’ve been together 10 years). He threw me for a loop when he added “why not just forget the pills? If you get pregnant I’ll be happy!” I freaking out! Is it crazy to just push the time line up by a year?
