This is probably the WORST conversation I have with someone. It's so forced and awkward.

But all his friends tell me he's so into me and talks about me all the time. He started messaging me but his response are always short and curt. It's super unpleasant and I feel like I cannot talk to him or give him a chance with this kind of attitude. I do not have a crush on him but I do find him pretty cute and I'd see what happens.

Do guys actually act like this if they are interested in someone?

I am usually a very talkative person and I tried several times to bring up a topic to talk to him but it's just awful and his answers always makes the conversation die.
