Samples

We had a lady come in yesterday for a question. She claimed she had came in and spoke to one of our baristas about how we “throw away food” at the end of every night, and to ask if she could have the food we apparently “throw away” for the homeless (aka her). I assured her every night, we SAMPLE OUT the food that’s expiring, are free to take as much as you want, and nothing is EVER thrown away because it’s always gone by the time we go home. We cant give away the samples whole to the homeless, because of a few concerns. As much as I love that idea, I knew it wasn’t possible. She walked away rolling her eyes and taking a sample.

I saw her walking out with some guy with a backpack on. I felt bad cause I knew they were homeless, but I had been at work all day, and never saw them once.
